Easy Changing Clothes & Proper Undergarments

Something comfortable to slip in and out of is a good go-to! It won’t be too far into the appointment before you’re getting in and out of gowns! More often than not, brides will ditch their bra all together when trying on gowns. A bulky bra can alter the way a dress is fitting in the bust. That being said, it’s not a bad idea to wear a strapless bra if you feel like you’ll be more comfortable keeping one on during the duration of the appointment. White or nude seamless underwear is also not a bad idea so you can get a real feel of what the gown will look like on your big day.

Shoes

Some brides will bring heels or boots if they know they will be wearing them on their wedding day to try on with the gowns. This is definitely not a must! Some just like knowing what the extra height will look like with their dress right out of the gate!  You should, however bring whichever shoes you plan to wear on your big day to your alterations appointment to ensure the hem is the right length!

Light Makeup

Trying on dresses may seem intimidating, wearing some light makeup in your appointment can boost your confidence and even help your decision making. If you have an idea of how you want your makeup to look on your special day, try to recreate it!
